On April 18, 2024 Oleg Kuvshinnikov visited the oldest forest university in our country! As part of a working meeting with Rector Irina Melnichuk, Oleg Kuvshinnikov visited the laboratory of St. Petersburg State Technical University for the study and analysis of carbon fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems, where Ekaterina Kapitsa, Head of the Department of General Ecology, Anatomy and Physiology of Plants, spoke about research within the framework of the most important innovative project of national importance “Rhythm of Carbon”, which aims to develop a national carbon pool monitoring system and create a data accounting system for greenhouse gas fluxes and the carbon budget. Oleg Alexandrovich also discussed issues related to the implementation of forest-climatic projects.
