Performance under the key innovative government project at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry SB RAS

The website of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences reports on the soil physics research processes carried out in the laboratory aimed at solving the following tasks of the key innovative government project:

  1. Analyzing the existing infrastructure of test areas for assessing carbon pools and CO2 emissions from soils of natural ecosystems and post-agrogenic areas of the forest-steppe zone in Western and Eastern Siberia.
  2. Determining carbon stocks in soils of previously studied chronosequences in forest and grass ecosystems in Novosibirsk Oblast and Irkutsk Oblast within the framework of extensive monitoring.
  3. Selecting new test sites for extensive monitoring of carbon stocks in soils of natural, agrogenic and post-agrogenic ecosystems of the forest-steppe zone, using the example of Novosibirsk Oblast and Irkutsk Oblast.
  4. Selecting representative sites for intensive monitoring of CO2 emissions from soils (taking into account the ecosystem diversity of the forest-steppe zone in Western and Eastern Siberia).
