Results of research by the youth laboratory of the Center for Forest Ecology and Productivity of the Russian Academy of Sciences at the X International Scientific Conference “Regional Problems of Earth Remote Sensing”

The website of the Center for Forest Ecology and Productivity RAS (CEPF RAS) reports that the X International Scientific Conference “Regional Problems of Earth Remote Sensing” was held in Krasnoyarsk from September 12 to 15, 2023. The purpose of the conference was to discuss the issues of creating and developing regional systems for Earth remote sensing of the from space and their role in solving the social and economic problems of regions.

Main focus areas of the conference:

  • Modern and promising regional remote sensing systems;
  • Models and methods for processing Earth remote sensing data;
  • Monitoring of ecosystems and agrocenosis;
  • Monitoring of industrial facilities and their impact on the natural environment
  • Monitoring of emergency situations;
  • Construction monitoring;
  • Spatial data infrastructure;
  • Issues of legislative regulation of relations in the field of space activities;
  • Monitoring of the environment, natural, and anthropogenic objects and phenomena;
  • Small spacecraft for solving regional Earth remote sensing issues.

A.N. Narykova, junior researcher of the youth laboratory of the Center for Forest Ecology and Productivity RAS participated in the Climate Regulating Functions and Forest Biodiversity conference. Anna Nikolaevna presented an analysis of the results of modeling forest floor carbon stocks in the Republic of Karelia and the Karelian Isthmus. The conference materials are available here.
