On May 26, 2023, Dmitry Nikolaevich Kobylkin, Coordinator of the federal party project “Clean Country,” visited the Laboratory for the Study and Analysis of Carbon Fluxes in Terrestrial Ecosystems created within the framework of the government assignment on the basis of the Department of General Ecology, Anatomy and Physiology of Plants. Yuri Viktorovich Khomyakov, Associate Professor of the department, one of the executing parties of the government assignment, led the tour and spoke of the laboratory’s capacities. The results obtained in the laboratory can be used to solve a number of problems, including developing the optimum forest management scenarios taking into account all ecosystem services and conservation and/or restoration of biodiversity in the managed forests. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Union of Timber Producers and Exporters of Russia, Miron Vasilyevich Tatsyun.
